How to Achieve True Adventure in Your Life!

Are you craving change? Are you craving fun?

When we get caught up in our day to day life it can seem so mundane. We may even blame this dullness on something outside ourselves. Perhaps you tell yourself life will be more exciting when I break up with my boyfriend. Maybe you tell yourself once I quit this job my life will feel on fire. You could be saying to yourself once I move to that big city I can live the life I want.

If you are currently not in these situations I congratulate you!!! You are living and not blaming other things for your unhappiness. But time to time we all get into this mindset.

I am suggesting to you ladies to start living now. Screw whatever life situation you are in, and make your life an adventure.

You can start creating adventures in your day to day life. This will rejuvenate your spirit and increase your joy.

Follow along I will give you some exciting ideas to make life that much better.

  • On a warmer spring evening go for drive down a back road. Rolls your windows down so you can smell the earth's wonderfulness. Feel the breeze through the window. Smile at your freedom to go wherever the hell you wanted to.
  • Drive to a distant city just to sit in their coffee shop. Observe the people. Are they different then the ones in your town?
  • Do an act of kindness. Pay for the car behind you in the Starbucks line. Hold the door open for the group coming in behind you. Let the family go in front of you at the grocery store. This will get serotonin flowing in both the participating parties. Get ready to smile.
  • Wake up a little earlier to drink a cup of coffee and read a magazine on your front porch.
  • Find and commit to an event on Meet Up!!
  • Laugh out loud. Laugh at yourself. Make yourself laugh. Fake laugh until you are truly laughing at yourself. Some reason this just feels so good.
  • Try a different cuisine type for a restaurant. It will be a brand new experience for you.
  • Take a strip pole class or an aerial fitness class. You may feel a little out of your comfort zone; this is good. These classes make you feel more flexible and feminine. Who knows maybe it will lead to awesome friends or a passion for fitness.
  • Take an art class at Jo Ann Fabrics or Michaels. Or follow along to a you tube video to make something amazing. Explore your creative side.
  • Decide last minute that you are going to take a trip to a different city for the weekend. Pack light and go by yourself. Check in to a hotel, then go out and explore.
  • Start up a conversation with somebody at the grocery store, coffee shop, or maybe in your neighborhood. You will feel even more connected.
  • Check off an item on your bucket list! Go sky diving, climb a mountain, go scuba diving. Darling you can do this in between your day job, boyfriend, or family time.
  • Have a dance party with just yourself. Get your groove on. Isn't it crazy how you can have so much fun by yourself.
  • Pack up your lunch, a book, and a large blanket and hit a local park. Enjoy yourself and the laughter of children.
  • Volunteer at your local library. Books are AWESOME.
  • Offer to take your friends dog for a walk. If you have a dog offer to walk the dogs together. Won't that be an adventure?
  • Decide to have a cheat day from trying to eat so damn healthy. Get that burger you have been craving!
  • Watch something on the Travel Channel.
  • If you received a free airline ticket and 1000 dollars where and what would you do? Plan it! Create a Pinterest board.
  • Buy a mason jar, tape a piece of paper on it saying "My Grand Adventure" and put $5 - $20 dollars in it every week. Then in 1-4 years you will have that $1000, and all you have to do is buy the plane ticket. Just think if you saved $20 a week you could go a vacation every year! Oh the power of saving.
  • Surprise your partner with hand made directions to a distant restaurant. Tell him to ask for Rose. Go to that restaurant and sign in as that name. It will be exciting for both of you. Maybe you can even dye your hair to really surprise him. Eek how exciting.
  • Make a goal to meet someone new every week.
  • Drive through your town and admire the buildings, really look at them. I bet you will see things you never truly saw before.
  • Go to the nearest flea market. Some interesting things and people to find there.
  • Lay under the stars. If you can see the open sky in your backyard grab a blanket and lay in the grass.  If it is too bright grab a blanket and take a drive. Lay on the hood of your car looking up at the stars. Do this on a weekday it will add more excitement.
  • Get really into a craft or a vision board! :) Stay up an extra hour or two than you usually do on the weekdays. Doesn't it feel good to do something different?

Adventure: an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity

What if we changed our perception and thought everything was unusual and exciting? What if we looked at things differently? What if we chose to see the beauty in all things? What if we used our imagination to come with new ways of doing things?

This would change our lives!

I hope this inspires you to start looking at life as an adventure. Wake up in the morning and thank God/ the universe/ the all encompassing source that you are alive. Your outside world is a reflection of what is inside. Decide to make it a fun and enjoyable journey.

I'd Rather Wear Flowers In My Hair Than Diamonds Around My Neck

Who feels the same?
pink quote picture
We all should strive to have this mentality. To live with nature rather than have things of form.
I believe "I'd Rather Wear Flowers In My Hair Than Diamonds Around My Neck" says that you do not associate your happiness with materialistic things.

I believe if you would rather wear flowers than you are more down to earth. You do not cling onto the materialistic things.

I just recently bought hot pink brooks running shoes (They are awesome). While playing an intense game of soccer/ultimate football I looked down at my shoes and they were covered in mud. They have a breathable cloth-like material so as you can guess the mud stained them. I accepted that they are dirty and I let go of my connection with them. It feels so liberating to not care.

What do you think this saying means?

Less is More

<< Too much of anything is unhealthy for us, both materialistic things and things we put into our body. >>

Better the World

Have your every thought about what the world would be like if people stopped hoarding things? If people stopped trying to achieve so much of one thing?

It is like a disease. One of the biggest things in the world is the strive for money. Do not get me wrong wanting to have money and working towards a goal of having it is good. But when people get to a point where they have enough and are still striving for it. That is an illness.

We are very inconsiderate about our resources. We leave our cars running, we leave lights on, we leave water running. How much we would be saving our planet if we just all tried to be more conscious of our actions, and tried to use less?

Save Money

Being more considerate about our resources and the Earth helps you too! If you combine trips in town you save yourself money and help the planet! If you turn lights off when you leave a room you save money and help the planet! You could unplug appliances when you go on vacation (Not your fridge)! You could turn your hot water heater down, cut down on the days your sprinkler system is used, and turn the temperature set down on your thermostat in the winter (put another layer of clothing on).

Clear Your Mind

There is plenty of research that shows clutter can stress us out! GET RID OF IT!

When you have the mentality that less is more you get an overwhelming sense of relief. You do not have to strive to have so much. Happiness comes from within and not from outside things. So knowing that you do not need to have more to be happy can be welcoming.

Simplicity is Bliss

I ask for you to look at your life and see what areas you could cut back on. Pay attention to areas where you feel having more is better, and shake those old believes out of your head.

Know that your life is amazing right now at your current state. Know that the best things in life are priceless. You do not need more to be complete.

Less is More, Baby.

Ego's Mind Games

I wanted to write on this topic, because lately it has been playing games with me.
My ego that is.
It has been cutting me down. Saying I can't be who I want to be, that I am a failure, and that I don't have time for this. It wants me to stop. This is our fear.
Now this sounds crazy I know. But you know what I'm talking about, that nasty voice inside your head telling you YOU SUCK.

Check out Gabby Bernstein's clip on the ego eradicator meditation!

I love this meditation. It takes about 5 mins and it breaks your nonsense thinking down. Do it. I promise you will feel lighter and happier after!
It gives a tingly feeling after that awakes you, and makes you feel so connected.

I did this, and after I sat there really digging deep into what my ego was saying about me. I realized how crazy it all sounded.
In that resting time after, I told myself that I am already loved, I am already complete, and I have everything I need. I automatically started crying. It wasn't a sad cry. It was more of a relief.
And it felt GOOD.

I'm asking everyone to dig deep, and realize that your mind is not right, and that you are complete and beautiful the way you are at this very moment!
Really let it sink in. It feels good right?

One Simple Step to Becoming A Happier Person

***LIVE IN THE MOMENT***

Point Blank, Easy as That!

Via HERE

HA not so easy. Our mind/ego sweeps us away, judging, criticizing, complaining, worrying, and the list goes on & on.

For most people it is hard for them to fully do a task without thinking about something else.

We sit at work planning our weekend, we listen to our boss in our meeting judging what he/she is wearing, and we watch TV worrying and attacking ourselves for not doing something else.

I have been actively feeling how I want to feel and being fully aware in the moment. When my boss is speaking I fully listen. I squash any other thoughts that come up. If I catch myself judging someone, I tell myself to let them be them and worry about myself.

I decide to do what I am doing every minute of the day. If I want to watch TV then I will be fully engaged it that. If I am doing work I would rather not be doing I make sure I am fully engaged so I can get it done faster. There is no point sitting there wishing you were doing something else. It still needs to get done, why not put all your energy into it, making the product come out awesome the first time.

When you are getting a pedicure, why be on your phone? This is an awesome time to be fully in the moment! Appreciate and really get the benefits from the massage that is given. Many times our phones take us out of the moment. When you are driving through a new city, do you not want to see all the buildings, people, etc?

Being in the moment makes you attractive! Marie Forleo taught me this one with her book: Make Every Man Want You!

When you are in the moment, you appreciate who you are with, you listen a little harder, and you are not worrying about how you look. Who wouldn't think that is attractive.

Become aware how your mind wanders off from the Now. Just becoming aware is the first step. Then try to concentrate on what is happening around you. Use your senses to bring you into the moment. What can you see right now, what can you hear, what can you smell, what do you feel?

At any time during the day you can ask those questions to bring you back to the only moment there is, Here, NOW.

What Do You Desire?

I have recently bought The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte! It is awesome. Check it out HERE.

It is all about making decisions and goals with your core feelings driving them. Instead of making goals and hoping they will make you feel a certain way after you achieve them. Why not figure out how you want to feel then make goals from those feelings!!

Such a brilliant idea!! Feelings is what drives the universe! The law of attraction theory states that we have to feel what we want. When we figure out how we want to feel most of time, our intentions are true to our soul.

She has you narrow down how you want to feel in different areas of your life, then choose your most used, most felt feelings for your core feelings!

MY CORE DESIRED FEELINGS:

Just saying these words, makes me happy, excited, and thrilled.

I choose to feel these feelings whenever I can! When I am at work, I think of these feelings. I try to feel them with all my heart. It instantly makes me happy.

When I feel like a Curious Gypsy, a Charming Goddess, when I feel Creative, Divine Oneness, or Affluence I am sending good vibrations out to the Universe, making my dreams closer to coming true!

I hope you check out The Desire Map, and get clear on how you want to feel.
It is liberating!
